Harris HRB-8-2/BD automatic single wire tier 2-Ram Baling Press (to be refurbished). One (1) Harris Model HRB-8-2/BD Proposal Specification:880916 General Layout Drawing: TBA The Harris HRB-8-2 / BD model is a 2-ram baler with a large hopper opening of 3.36m. long x 1.88 wide, (132” long x 74” wide) and 2.13m high. Main features of the machine are as follows: • USS 331 series automatic single wire tier system. • 49 ton bale door cylinder with 2 x two ton guide cylinders • The HRB-8-2 / BD has a vertically operating bale door. • 2 x 125 h.p. (2 x 90Kw) main motors. • 198 tons main ram force. • 88 Ton ejector ram. • Has NF (Non-Ferrous) liners in the charging box and ram faces. • Machine weight: approx 34 tons. • Modern hydraulics and electrics. Please see below a list of the refurbishment work to being undertaken, in addition to the US Wire Tier strapping head being removed and totally re-built by Harris UK’s technicians before being re-fitted to the machine. Remove and replace with new side strip liners in the charging box area (R/H & L/H) as required. Remove and replace with new rear ‘hold-up’ liners as required. Remove main ram and replace floor & bottom liners as necessary, with new front charging box ‘strip’ liners as required (7). Replace ejector cylinder with new piston rod-end bush. Supply new ejector cylinder rod-end pin. Rotate knifes and adjust. Clean, prime and paint the machine Harris green with yellow cylinders. New electrical wiring termination boxes as necessary. New Sonacs if required. All hydraulic pumps and couplings pressure tested and renewed as required. New `o` ring seals to be supplied. Any additional work as required to the machine upon inspection at Works.
