This year’s theme, “Cooling the Material World with Zero Waste”, is designed to focus on Climate Change and the importance of our industry’s members to fully embrace the Zero Waste philosophy and make it a reality in their community. Each year the CRRA Conference provides a forum to discuss concepts, best practices, controversies, and innovative ideas. Our goal at this year’s conference is to educate attendees and to inspire them to meet the challenges of a cultural shift from within our material world. In keeping with our Material World theme, our keynote speaker, Erik Assadourian, Worldwatch Researcher and Director of State of the World 2010’s new book, “Transforming Cultures” will challenge us toward a necessary cultural shift away from materialism. This speech will energize and assist us as we integrate zero waste efforts in our local communities.
