Lead Bagged Brick and Steel Encased.
150,000 lbs Approx. Lead scrap, to include but not limited to Bagged Brick and Steel Encased. This is a one (1) year term contract located at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Bremerton, WA. consisting of lead ballast weight. approximate dimensions 14 long x 3.125 wide, 50-60 pounds each, most bricks are not full size. Including but not limited to sheets, chips, shavings, and smaller pieces of various sizes and shapes. Lead will be packed into flexible intermediate bulk containers (fibc) placed on wooden pallets, which are included in the total weight of sale. fibc containers are polypropylene bags rated at 6,000 lbs. capacity, could also include Lead brick, lead shot or poured lead encased in steel containers welded to submarine or surface ship steel HTS hull sections. Average size and weight per piece: 5ft. long X 8ft. wide X6ft.high and 48,600 pounds. May contain rust preventative compounds mil-c-1176a (non-slich), mil- c-1567a (pigmented petroleum ) which has a low flash point; or mil-c-16173 with red lead compound. Lead is to be transported, handled and disposed of in accordance with all local, state, and federal regulations. PSNS will load flat bed truck and trailer only. All personnel entering the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for viewing or picking-up material are required to be United States citizens and obtain, fill out and return an entrance letter and an I-9 form for PSNS from John Miller (253)966-1430 a minimum of 3 days prior to viewing or pickup if not already eligible to gain entrance on your own. A true copy of a person's birth certificate with a raised state seal or valid passport must be presented to the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard pass and Id office. Mutilation not required.
