RCI 2000 Crumb Rubber System T-02142.
This crumb rubber system is in good condition and it is available. It was built in 1996 by Dunrite Equipment. The equipment requires floor space of 50’ long x 15’ wide. The system is powered by a 300 hp electric motor equipped with a Soft Start package. When running the system pulls 190 – 200 amps. This system will take in a 1” tire chip and reduce it to 3 mesh, 5 mesh, 10 mesh, 20 mesh, 40 mesh, all the way down to 200 mesh crumb rubber. It will produce 2,800 – 3,000 lbs per hour of clean, high quality crumb rubber. This system starts by feeding the 1” chips into the RCI 2000 Mill where they get pulverized. The rubber then goes through the Dust Collector and on to the Fluff Separator where all of the fabric and steel are removed. The rubber is then run through a Drum Magnet, then dropped onto a Bucket Elevator where it is conveyed up and dropped into a Shaker Screen Classifier that separates and drops material into 5 different outlets. These 5 outlets allow 5 different sizes of crumb rubber, 3 mesh, 5 mesh, 10 mesh, 20 mesh, and 40 mesh. This system produces 5 different sizes of crumb rubber at once. The 40 mesh outlet has a place where another outlet and classifier can be installed so that material can be further reduced all the way down to 200 mesh. Each size crumb outlet has a discharge chute. Current owner was discharging into Gaylord Boxes, and then shipping out the crumb rubber in these boxes. There are two (2) control boxes with this system. The system takes 3 people to operate. One to feed the material into the mill, and two to take away the end products and empty the fluff and steel out of the Gaylord boxes from the Fluff Separator.
